What a great clip! GBS obviously missed his true calling, as a children’s television host … that is, if you think it’s funny to be coyly neutral about Mussolini, which I don’t.

I find these GBS videos mesmerizing. He’s so odd and puffed up – and how he makes explicit reference to the fact that he’s on camera, and we’re watching him. And now it’s 100 years later on YouTube . . .
BTW. I came across this video on someone else’s theatre blog . . . and would normally give credit for the great find, but I can’t remember who’s blog it was. Apologies to them.
I like how he still thinks “moving pictures” are an amusing novelty, 40 years after their invention.
